Lite Rail, MOA, Rudolph's

First of all, Jana and I would love to hear some comments from people who are reading this. We are trying to keep a log of our trip for us, but also for you's guy's too. So, let's hear some feedback, yeah?

Anyway, we took a rainy day leave from the scooter, but I did remove Yosemite Sam from the front with lacquer thinner in hopes of finding my Herbie sticker for the front instead. Jana and I took the train out to Bloomington and went to the Mall of America. Not the most fun place for both of us, but I sold the saddlebags that I bought to a guy that was near there, so we thought why not just go out and play for a few hours. The guy that bought the bags told us a story of his daughter and how she had the same scooter that she bought new in 1986 for $1700. Wow, these scooters hold their value. He also talked for awhile about riding and I thought it was cool how so many of the people that we have encountered on our trip are all so ready to talk about riding motorcycles and have tips about the roads and stories of their own to share.

We wandered around the mall and shared a Nathan's hot dog with mustard, onions, and kraut on it. I ate an Abba Zabba bar from a candy store where we also got some lemon drops and some sour patch kids. Then we went to the Lake Wobegon Store and Jana bought a few things for her friend Mary back in Grand Rapids. Then we ate at a store called P.B. Loco that served up some strange peanut butters. We tried curry and sun dried tomato among others, but got a dipping platter that had carrots, apples, celery, and pretzels, and for our peanut butter selections we chose, Cinnamon raisin, banana, and dark chocolate. By the way, if you ever eat at a place like this, do not mix flavored peanut butters with celery and carrots, SEK!

Jana and I had some free passes to ride the rides, so we went on the Mad Mouse roller coaster and I observed this kid in the car behind us turn blue from all of the spinning.

We left the mall after that...
This sign was outside of the train stop when we got off and headed uptown for some dinner and a few beers along with some ice cream from the blue sky creamery, which has delicious pumpkin ice cream...
Rudolph's was the name of the place and it won all kinds of awards for BBQ, but I have been places like that and I never think that the BBQ is worth a dime, so we opted to have some nachos and some chicken wings instead because we just caught the tail end of happy hour and things were half price and 2 for 1 and I am a sucker for a deal. We both had Summit Ale's, Minneapolis' own local brew. It is happy and nice, just the way I like them. The bartender, Greg, was a medical student at the U and chatted with us and made the experience better. He was from Chicago and that is all I have to say about that. I got a little screwed up, Mom.
