We got to Maria's and they were out of the damn breakfast special, but it is really busy there. The last time we were there we like the salsa so much that we took two pints home with us. Jana saw a mouse run across the floor, EEEKK! but that does not bother me so much, as I have worked in dirtier places than Maria's. After the mouse we got after our breakfast which consisted of plantain pancakes, corn pancakes with cojita cheese, arepas, salsa, and this gross egg scramble that neither of us ate. After breakfast we scooted on over to the Twin Cities Dachshund Meetup Costume Party.

This was really cool. It was nice to see all of the costumes on the doggies. Jana and I stayed and took pictures and got out of there in about an hour or so. That is where it all began for our Dachshund group. I went there about a year ago and came home to Grand Rapids and started my own. Now we are 80 members strong.

So Gol! Time to get back to the scootin'. This is really a great town to scoot in. We are among several two wheelies on the road here. You should see the University. There are like 20 scooters parked at every entrance to the school buildings here. And where would you purchase such a fine motor craft? Well Gol, Scooterville of course. This store is located downtown and they had some scooters gol. The dudes who ran this place were knowledgeable about old scoots, as they themselves were kind of old. I got some new night riding glasses and we also got some Monkey Bags that will replace the saddle bags which I felt were too bulky and just did not say scooter, you know. But we wanted accessories and scooterville did not have a lot of that stuff, so they sent us over to Midwest Cycle Supply.

This place was kind of small, but they made good use of the space by filling it from floor to ceiling with thingers. We got there about 10 min. before close, so there is not much to say about this place except that we did not have enough time to look at all the gadgets that they have there. Jana however got to talkin' to this hairy biker fella who had a big chaw packed in between his lips about the roads through Wisconsin. He said that he often rides with a group from Milwaukee to Minneapolis and aside from Arkansas, SW Wisconsin is the best riding in the Country. He gave us some tips on where to go and find hilly, loopie, curvey, whirley-swirly, roads to rule. He mentioned letter roads such as AA, and OO, and if we saw any turns that were named such, especially P, to git um'. From here, Jana wanted to go to a clothing store that was nearby, so we went to Birch.

Pretty much an organic clothing store. Jana loved it. I will admit that if they had anything that would have fit me I would have loved it too. You know, organic people are slender and smell like leafs and stuff. I like them though, so I hang around and sometimes the leaf smell rubs off on me. Jana, got a new skirt that was only 80 dolla. What a sweet deal! She said it fit her better than any skirt she had ever tried on and I was happy that Jana found something that she liked. While she was in the fitting room, I got her a purse that she had been eyeing and these glove things that will keep her hands warm while pecking at her laptop. I took them outside and put them in the Monkey Bags and surprised her with them later. She smiled and coo'd. So after the Birch store, we had a mini color tour of Lake Harriet.

We got on and rode out to Lake Harriet and circled the place. For those of you in Grand Rapids who think that riding around Reeds Lake is sooooo cool, think again. You can actually see the lake all the way around while riding on Lake Harriet, unlike reeds lake where all you see are houses and driveways in hopes that the people who own the houses are enjoying their stupid view! But I got over it. The weather was perfect and I was able to shed my helmet. We had a nice 15mph ride all around the lake. We stopped at the band shell , walked a bit, and took some pictures for you to enjoy. So ENJOY THEM ALREADY DAMN IT! So then we moved on, we stopped at a little dog store called Chuck and Don's and got a little red coat for Spotty Spots and we were right next door so...

We went to Punch again.
