What time did we enter da Amtrak.

Oh, round bout 2:15pm. There was hardly anyone on the train. We got a seat right next to a power outlet so i could watch my cooking shows from my laptop. Jana and I watched many of them. Right up until we went to dinner. A crazy twitchy dude came over to ask us if we would like to make a reservation for dinner and I asked him if I could look at the menu and he rolled his eyes and made it seem like it was a real big deal that we wanted "to see" if we could see any thing on the menu that we wanted to eat. So it looked ok and I was in it for the experience of eating train food. The Lamb shank caught my eye and of course that is one of my favorite dishes, so I had to check it out. We walked into the dining car and they sat us with a couple from Los Angles. There names were Dennis and Mary. We talked about Giadda De Lorentes and Ina Garten among other things. There picture is posted here as well and pictures of the food that we ate. Like I said, I had the Lamb Shank and Jana had a Cornish Game Hen. The lamb had lemon and honey on it somehow and I am not sure how they prepare all the food. I assume that there are many, many microwaves in the kitchen, but I assure you that train food is not worth $37.00. I miss the Schnitzelbank's Lamb Shank!!!!!!!!!!!
